New year, across the world, simply means party time. People get
together, hang out, go to private parties or party hard at home. The
idea is to have a great time as we enter the new year. Home parties
require a lot of effort in terms of managing everything. So for your
ease, here are some very simple decorative lighting ideas for new year, which are
simple to implement; but appear like expensive installations. LED glow
lights are creating a buzz all around the world, and will be visible in
almost all new year dos this year end. So set the party mood with LEDs
and get rocking with some unique party lighting ideas.
Glow Light Party Lighting Ideas
LED Stem Lights: LED stem lights look beautiful in evenings or dimmer
set ups. They are the perfect decorative lighting accessory for the
interiors. They are available in bright colors – silver, gold, red,
pink, white, green, blue, purple, yellow – and are very very cheap. Get
a few bunches and place in different corners of the room.
Rope/ String Lights: Rope lights are again LEDs, that can be used in a multiple
ways. You can either wrap them around in the balcony or your terrace
boundary , hang them from the window, or put them on your garden shrubs
in exciting designs. Use your creativity for a variety of lighting
effects. For example, hang strings of glow lights outside a window, and
put translucent curtains in front to give it a shimmering curtain look.
Similarly you can also put tape lights on one side of glass tables or
window glasses and put a translucent cloth on the other side for the
glow effect.
Glow Light Accessories: Glow light accessories refers not just to glow
ornaments like bracelets, necklaces and specs. There are even kitchen
and other home decor accessories that glow – glasses, bowls, tumblers,
pots, show pieces, rice bulb show pieces, glow sticks - to name a few.
Also there are submersible lights available in the market that can be
put in water. Use them in your garden fountains for stunning color
effects.
Neon Balls & Balloons: Neon balloons are easy additions to the interior as well
exterior decors. Splash your party with striking colors like purple,
red, yellow and blue. You can flirt with the color combinations, length
and balloon shapes. Neon balls can be randomly placed anywhere in the home or the house.
Rustic Fixtures: If you want to do it the vintage way, rustic flavor can
be sprinkled with metallic lanterns and hurricane lamps. Go for raw
metal look. Pick up wrought iron, cast iron, brass and copper lanterns.
In case of hurricane lamps, other than the metallic shades, also
experiment with colored glass shades. Also try hanging lanterns and
special garden lanterns.
